CELErIAC MASH

Organic celeriac

Ingredients

  • 1 medium or 2 small celeriac bulb(s)

  • 3/4 cup of bone broth

  • 1 tsp. of dried thyme

  • 1 tsp. of dried sage

  • 1 tbsp. of butter or coconut oil (optional)

  • Salt & pepper to taste


  1. Peel celeriac bulbs and cut into cubes

  2. Add bone broth, celeriac, thyme & sage to a pot, and bring to a boil. When it reaches boiling, turn down to a simmer, cover with lid and simmer for 20-30 min. or until tender.

  3. Once tender, strain celeriac (but reserve the liquid).

  4. Add butter/coconut oil, salt & pepper, and the some of the reserved liquid to cooked celeriac and mash until desired consistency is reached.

    Note: Keep adding reserved bone broth liquid a tbsp. at a time so the mash doesn’t become too watery, but only until the mash reaches your desired consistency.
