SOUTH CAROLINA-STYLE BBQ SAUCE
1 cup of mustard
1/3 cup raw honey
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup coconut aminos (sauce)
1/4 cup organic tomato paste (add more if required to thicken)
1 tbsp. of sriracha
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tbsp. garlic powder
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
In a medium size pot, add all ingredients
Bring the sauce to a light simmer over medium heat
Simmer the sauce for 8 to 10 minutes. If sauce is too watery, add more tomato paste until reached desired thickness.
Let cool and slather on some meat, and enjoy!
Note: Goes great on chicken and pork; especially, pulled pork.
