SOUTH CAROLINA-STYLE BBQ SAUCE


  • 1 cup of mustard

  • 1/3 cup raw honey

  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1/3 cup coconut aminos (sauce)

  • 1/4 cup organic tomato paste (add more if required to thicken)

  • 1 tbsp. of sriracha

  • 1 tbsp. chili powder

  • 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder

  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


  1. In a medium size pot, add all ingredients

  2. Bring the sauce to a light simmer over medium heat

  3. Simmer the sauce for 8 to 10 minutes. If sauce is too watery, add more tomato paste until reached desired thickness.

  4. Let cool and slather on some meat, and enjoy!

Note: Goes great on chicken and pork; especially, pulled pork.
